Alert

After receiving multiple inquiries and Scam Tracker reports, Better Business Bureau Serving Connecticut (BBB) opened an investigation into the business practices of Dolphin Services, LLC on February 20, 2019. Specifically, BBB researched claims of the business offering employment re-shipping packages, a process, in BBB’s experience, generally linked to illegitimate activities.  BBB has determined that the Dolphin Services, LLC name and address have been compromised, and are being used by unauthorized individuals to carry out a re-shipping scheme and possible identity theft. BBB contacted the owner of Dolphin Services, LLC who verified that their information had been stolen. BBB also communicated with consumers about their experience and to obtain relevant documentation and correspondence. This information, combined with multiple internet and database searches, led BBB to find that Dolphin Services, LLC at 1078 Riverbank Rd Stamford, CT 06903 has no affiliation with David Scott or Luke Jacobson, the individuals claiming to be employees and carrying out the re-shipping activities. Additionally, Dolphin Services, LLC does not operate the website http://www.dolphin-services.com/ or the email mail@dolphin-services.com. This website and all affiliated email addresses have been linked to those spoofing the legitimate Dolphin Services, LLC name and are being used in the efforts to recruit individuals to participate in the re-shipping scheme and to provide personal information.  On February 20, 2019, BBB checked the registration information of http://www.dolphin-services.com/ and determined that it was created on July 22, 2017 and registered by Andrej V Ionov in Novo-Sinkovo Moskovskaja oblast 141830 Russia.

BBB recommends that consumers first check BBB.org and research any individual or company before exchanging money or providing personal information.
