            Michigan Attorney General v Sierra Financial LLC

            The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the governments allegations, which have not yet been proven

            On October 18, 2019, Michigan Attorney General filed a Complaint against Sierra Financial LLC, Dba Sierra Lending LLC. Charges filed allege the business is in violation of State Law prohibiting unfair, deceptive or abusive acts or practices when offering usurious rates, loan approval process, ability to automatically deduct money from a consumer's bank account. The business allegedly misrepresented contract terms over the phone, harassed or pressured consumers into signing up for loans, and refused to let consumers pay off their loans early. The business allegedly offered and are currently offering loans to Michigan residents with an annual interest rate greater than 7%, in violation of Michigan Comp laws.
