Ad Review
On December 2, 2024, BBB challenged this company’s advertising that appears on their website https://medieats.com/. The website makes the following statements:
“In a 6-month research study, 92% of our users achieved their ideal weight using MediEats and successfully maintained it thereafter”
“Plan to lose 25 lb in 1 month”
According to the BBB's Code of Advertising, 34. Claimed Results: Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.
Medieats was notified and asked to add information on the case study to their website along with data related to losing 25lbs in a month. If the requested information is not available, the company was asked to modify the statements. To date, the information has not been added to the website nor has the company provided BBB with the information.
