On May 22, 2023, BBB investigated National Home Partners’ business practices. This investigation was prompted by the nature of consumer inquiries received by BBB. It’s alleged through the reports to BBB that the business is not providing payments as agreed to homeowners per their contract, not communicating delays or other concerns to buyers, delaying the move-in process leaving consumers to pay for unexpected costs.

On May 24, 2023, BBB sent the company a Business Practice Inquiry through email to request the following information:

- Please explain the buying and selling process through the business from start to finish;

- Please provide a copy of all documents provided to all parties involved when working with the business;

- Please explain how the business communicates delays to consumers;

- Please explain how the business ensures timely payments to homeowners in regards to their contracts;

- Please explain all services provided by the business;

- What is the best way for consumers to reach the business;

On May 24, 2023, National Home Partners replied to BBB's inquiry, but did not fully disclose the requested information. 

On May 25, 2023, National Home Partners replied stating they do not need a license to rent their own property. BBB was unable to verify the ownership of the properties listed with the business or find licensing for the business.

As of May 31, 2023, the business claims they do not charge fees for their services, and the company states they do not buy or sell any property they do not outright own or are not partnered in.

On June 8, 2023, the business reached out to inquire about their profile and the investigation.

On June 8,2023, BBB replied to the business’ request. BBB requested the business provide more information regarding its practices and the business responded, but did not provide all of the requested information. 

BBB also asked for a physical address for the business and the company provided a virtual address. 

Should consumers have any concerns regarding licensing and rent to own properties, it is advised that consumers contact their local state’s Department of Real Estate for further assistance.

On March 7, 2023, BBB requested National Home Partners to modify, substantiate, or discontinue claims made on their website (https://nationalhomepartnership.com/) that read, "AS SEEN ON CBS..abc..NBC..FOX", "Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry" logo, and "Google Verified Reviews ******" logo. Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising.

BBB's Code of Advertising Section 1 states, The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. 1.2 Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used.

On March 15, 2023 the business emailed the BBB and modified the "AS SEEN ON" section of the website.

On March 21, 2023, BBB contact the business in regards to other concerns and received a reply on March 27, 2023, but the business did not provide any further updates.

On March 28, 2023, BBB did one final attempt to contact the company but did not receive a response.

As of March 29, 2023, the business has not responded to BBB's request.
