On 10/15/2024 this business's accreditation in the BBB was revoked by the BBB's Board of Directors due to failure by the business to adhere to the BBB requirement that Accredited Businesses meet and abide by the following standards:
2. Follow established legal and ethical advertising and selling practices, including, but not limited to, the BBB Code of Advertising.
2A. Work with BBB and agree to modify, substantiate or discontinue advertising and selling practices when recommended.
6. Address disputes forwarded by BBB quickly and in good faith.

In July 2024, BBB investigated Air AI's business practices. This investigation was prompted by the nature of the complaints received by BBB. Consumers allege that the business fails to provide the software as advertised; fails to issue a refund when requested and fails to respond to written and phone inquiries.
On July 11, 2024, BBB sent the company a Business Practice Inquiry through email, to request the following information:
-The current quality assurance process in place, to ensure the software is functional before the sale;
-The solutions offered to consumers to resolve the software issues they may have;
-A copy of the current refund policy and process in place to ensure refunds are issued to consumers when requested;
-Please update your contact information on your website so that consumers make contact with the business and that there is no confusion regarding where your company is physically located;
As of July 31, 2024, the business has not responded to BBB's request.

Additionally, on the company's LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/company/joinair) it read, “The world's most advanced conversational AI.”, ”...the world's first ever AI that can have full on 10-40 minute long phone calls that sound like a REAL human…”, ”...infinite memory, perfect recall, and can autonomously take actions across 5,000 plus applications…”, ”...It can do the entire job of a full time agent…”, and ”...It just works 24/7/365.” Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising.
BBB's Code of Advertising Section 34 states, Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data. Additionally, BBB's Code of Advertising Section 1 states, The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. 1.2 Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used.
