Customer Complaint
BBB has received a high volume of complaints that indicate a pattern of complaints for this company. Complaints allege customer service, refund/exchange, billing/collection, service, advertising, delivery, and sales issues. Complainants further allege that the company solicits them via the telephone to sell magazine subscriptions ranging in price from $30-$200. Complainants allege that the company also promises a $300 gas card to be sent to the consumer in $25 increments. In order to obtain the gas cards, consumers are told that they must send the company a copy of their driver's license and gas receipts each month until the $300 limit is exhausted. Complainants further allege that they never receive the magazines they order, nor do they receive the promised gas card, even after sending the required information. Customers also allege difficulty reaching the customer service department. Gold Readers Club is currently not responding to the BBB regarding resolution of these complaints.
