Customer Complaint

Recently, BBB has received complaints for this company that allege billing, advertising, service, repair, sales, warranty, contract, refund, product, and customer service issues. Complaints allege this business repeatedly solicits consumers via telephone or door-to-door, sometimes after the consumer has asked them to stop, for various solar and energy saving products. Some complaints allege that the company informs the consumer that they are guaranteed to save 30%- 50% on their electric bill, however, complainants claim their actual savings are much less. Some complainants report that their electric bill increases after the products are installed. Additionally, consumers allege that the business tells the customer that the consumer qualifies for federal, state, and utility company tax credits and/or rebates and that the tax credits will be applied to the purchase of solar products. Some complainants allege that the tax credits are never received or applied to the consumer’s purchase. Others allege difficulty reaching the company when problems arise with the product they purchased from the business. When consumers ask for a refund or request the company service the product, they may be denied their refund, or the company representative may promise to contact the consumer at a future date in order to set up an appointment for service.  In some cases, complainants allege that the company charges the consumers to service the customer’s product, despite the fact that the product is still under warranty. At this time, Adair Home is responding to all BBB complaints. In addition, Adair has informed BBB that they will respond to and resolve any complaint received by BBB in a timely manner.
