Case 4:19-cr-40018-SOH v. Lonnie Joseph Parker

On October 8, 2019, a federal grand jury for the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Western District of Arkansas indicted Dr. Lonnie Joseph Parker on nine counts of over-prescribing opiates and other controlled substances. Charges filed allege the business is in violation of federal law prohibiting the writing of prescriptions without a legitimate medical purpose and outside the scope of a professional practice. The matter is pending. An indictment is merely an accusation, and an arrest warrant represents a finding of probable cause. A person is presumed innocent unless or until he or she is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
