On March 9, 2023 the Arkansas Attorney General filed a lawsuit against Sun Valley Renewables, LLC and its owners Stephen Walker and Joshuah Walker. Charges filed allege the business owners are in violation of the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. The suit claims that the business engaged door-to-door sales and advertised and represented to potential buyers that they could and would install electricity-generating solar panels capable of connecting to the electric grid for net metering. After accepting consumers' money for the construction of the solar panels systems, the business failed to perform their contracted services or provide the purchased goods. The suit also states that when consumers filed complaints, the business owners either ignored them, failed to provide solutions, or gave consumers small amounts of money in an attempt to pacify the consumer, then stopped responding to communications. The matter is pending.
