Ad Review

On October 1, 2018, BBB contacted the business regarding substantiation of the following claims and logos found on its website; American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA) Certified Business, Certified Professional Mover (logo), Certified Moving Consultant (logo), Licensed and Insured and the display of the US Department of Transportation logo.

Under the basic principles of the BBB Code of Advertising, advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request. All advertising that may mislead or deceive consumers should be avoided.

The business responded and removed the logos and the claim of being an AMSA Certified Business, however, the business did not provide substantiation of being "licensed ad insured", as claimed on its website. On October 23, 2019 the business provided proof of insurance, however, the claim of "Licensed" remains on the website.

While the company does have a business license with the City of Little Rock, BBB finds the use of the term "licensed" to be misleading in that consumers have an expectation that a reference to being licensed refers to a tradesman, competency or industry license. Companies that provide Intrastate moves are required to obtain Intrastate Authority (license) through the Arkansas Department of Transportation. Companies that provide Interstate moves must obtain Interstate Authority through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), a division of the U.S. Department of Transportation. As of January 6 2020, BBB has verified that the company has neither license.
