Licensing

On March 21, 2012 Gene Hickman d/b/a Gene Hickman Custom Homes was fined $1,200.00 by the Arkansas Residential Contractors Committee for violations of Act 950, acting as a residential contractor without a license. The Committee further ordered a cease and desist order on any project Gene Hickman d/b/a Gene Hickman Custom Homes performs in violation and ordered Mr. Hickman to refrain from bidding on or performing work as a residential contractor prior to being licensed with the Residential Contractors Committee..

On April 25, 2018 the Arkansas Residential Contractors Committee voted unanimously that Gene Hickman pay a civil penalty of $800.00 for violation of Section 17-25-505 (working without a license). The Committee also issued a cease and desist order against Gene Hickman to prevent him from bidding on or performing work as a residential contractor prior to being licensed with the Residential Contractors Committee.

On August 22, 2018, Gene Hickman appeared again before the Arkansas Residential Contractors Board for working without a license and was assessed a civil penalty of $3,200.00 and issued a cease and desist order.

On November 25, 2019, in the Circuit Court of Garland County, Howard Gene Hickman ('Defendant') pleaded guilty to the crime of Theft of Property in Case #26CR-18-547. All Parties in the case represent that the Defendant has previously been convicted of similar felonies.

Per the Plea Agreement, Howard Gene Hickman is sentenced to six (6) years probation and ordered to pay $6,000.00 in restitution. For more details go to https://bbb.org/h/k0ow.
