Investigations

On March 18, 2019, www.ididitformydog.com came to the attention of BBB. At that time BBB had received four (4) complaints in which most consumers stated they did not receive their merchandise, after they had paid for the items. Consumers requested refunds but did not receive a response and three (3) complaints filed with BBB have not been answered. Also, consumers allege when attempting to contact the business, they are unresponsive. According to one consumer, this company was advertising on Instagram, but the account may now be down.

BBB's review of the website reveals that www.ididitformydog.com was created on January 4, 2019 with a short life expectancy, which follows the pattern used by many fraudulent or fake selling websites. This site is using an anonymous service - which prevents BBB from identifying the site owner. It appears this online retailer sells tee shirts designed for dog lovers. The company claims that "Our Furry Friends program has been in the works for a while, and has finally come to fruition! A percentage of each sale goes to help fund the building of animal shelters all over the world. We are run by a small but passionate group of individuals who have a goal to help shelter over 1 MILLION strays! So far, we have been able to build shelters to house over 164,000 doggos." The picture that appears under this statement is the same as used by the Humane Society of Pulaski County, AR.

On March 18, 2019, BBB sent an email to dogmommaforlife@gmail.com requesting standard business information, which could not be found on the website. Additionally, we requested information supporting their claim of building shelters for dogs. As of April 8, 2019, the business has not responded.
