Consumer Protection BC vs Care Funeral Services
Decision of the Director (Consumer Protection BC)
On June 20, 2022, Director of Consumer Protection BC filed an action towards C.A.R.E. Funeral Services Ltd. of Vancouver Island. The Director found that the business has violated section 189(5)(c)(11) of the BPCPA by failing to comply with the terms included in the Order. At this time, unless prior written permission is received from the director, the licensee may not provide or supply funeral services during the period of time that any of the funeral provider licenses held by the licensee are under suspension imposed by the Director.
