Ad Review
On June 18, 2019 BBB contacted Carpet Doctor with our concerns about advertisements made on carpetdoctor.ca.
The website offers "the opportunity to win 7 nights accommodation in sunny Mexico for 2 adults and 2 children".
There is no information about how many prizes are available, when the draw will be, or how long the contest runs.
These ads violate the BBB Code of Advertising BBB Code of Advertising which states, in part: "33. Contests and Games of Chance or Skill
33.1 If contests are used, the advertiser must publish clear, complete and concise rules and provide competent impartial judges to determine the winners."
Based on our Code, BBB requested the company to substantiate, remove or reword the aforementioned claim. BBB has not received a response to our Advertising review as of July 11, 2019.
