      Refusal to issue a refund for cancel flight due to covid 19 by --APRIL 12 2020 BY AIR CANADA They are unable to confirm a reason for decline --when question the agent at expedia what makes me ineligible --I paid for the trip DEC 2019 they got the monies and was travelling April 12 2020 and he was unable to advise the reason for not able to refund me my monies --they keep changing their refund process 1) will allow 50 % refund on my first call 2) on my second call --cancel the 1st opt only will allow a credit for future travel expire in 24 months--approximately Feb 2022 3) April 22 2021..received an email notifying of eligible customers for total refund within 4-6 weeks 4) never got an update--of this decline --never knew they change again to future travel credits and it took 6 calls and one being 7 hours on hold --was told today of the offer a future travel credit until **** --all I want is my refund just like others received --including my sister and her friend --as will not be going anywhere with AC or travel in the near future due to my age and being vulnerable status ... wonder if they got this kind of service from the ******** Government ?it is very frustrating as I do not know where to escalate my issue--- as I contacted AC and they advise to fill in a claim form --tried that and have to purchase an application to complete the form so guessing AC will get my unwilling contribution of $2918. for their pot ..always the minions pay the ultimate price
